It is truly a wonder why this person who have always been quite and shy throughout his seat as senator even got the guts to run for president. He has absolutely no political will. He is obviously just riding the name of his parents. When the well loved former President Corazon Aquino died the year before the election, thousands mourned her passing. It was also a great television spectacle that was watched by every Filipino. The whole thing was a grand media event. And this death was being used by a catalyst by those who convinced Noynoy to run for president. It is such a lame thing to do. It would have been okay if Noynoy actually did anything of note aside from being the son of well loved heroes (well, at least one of them was a true hero, the other was brave and well loved but is still a little short of being called a hero). He has always been quiet in the senate, like the student in class who always attended class but never really excelled at anything because he just wanted a passing grade.

Noynoy should be given a chance. If one would look at his lineage, how could anyone doubt that this person will keep his name clean from any controversy? We are at least all sure that this person was raised to be a righteous person. We are sure that he will never do anything that would be corrupt. We can rest assured that this person will always suffer the burden of keeping his parent’s names clean.
