Elearning Solutions

Elearning solutions have always been available for use. But some companies do not like it. Why is this? Aren’t elearning solutions advantageous since it is a very cheap alternative to trainers in a classroom set up?

Our company has been one of those companies that did not trust in elearning. This is easy to explain. The reason was because my boss is an old fogey. He did not trust that much in technology. But of course as the boss of a company, he has long been acquainted with much of technology. He knows how to use a personal computer and surf the net through his smart phone just like any other bloke. But the fact was that he still has some deep seated biases against the technological age, and this reflects in his preferences. For example, when looking at applicants for the company, the boss does not credit online courses as any proof of skill in the resume. He still prefers those who have enrolled and finished courses in the traditional classroom setting. This is true even if the courses are about information technology.

elearning

So that is why we still do not use elearning solutions even for our internal company purposes such as for employee development. But people keep trying to convince him that really, elearning is the future. Thank goodness that the recession came. It seems he is now about to have no other choice, especially after hearing about the news that several prominent institutions that offered IT courses in the classroom setting had to close down because they were not cost effective and the recession was getting to them.

So now, after a couple of months, it seems that our company is finally going to enter the modern age. We have no other real recourse really. It was either we adapted by using elearning solutions or we succumb to a slow and painful descent to destruction by not being able to compete.

My Stay at Fairmont Royal Pavilion: A Barbados Travel Hotel Review

I am very grateful to all positive forces that have blessed me with the opportunity to travel to beautiful places like the Caribbean. I am overwhelmed by my blessedness that I decided to share my experiences with other people so that the world can know of the different beautiful places in the world. Also, I aim to help other travelers like myself to make good choices when it comes to accommodations because it is a vital aspect of a journey.

It was my first time to check in at the highly recommended Fairmont Royal Pavilion, a luxurious Barbados travel hotel. At first glance, I immediately deduced that it deserves all the great commendations it gets simply because of its aesthetics—it was utterly breath taking. I am very pleased with my choice of staying there.

Upon my descent to their lobby, I was greeted by the most amiable staff possible. They surely made the effort to get to know me as they went out of their way to have friendly chat with me, always trying to find out if I needed anything or if my stay so far met my expectations.

My favorite part was my room—it was gorgeous! If I remember correctly, there were 72 rooms in all. But I must say that my suite was incredibly beautiful and pleasantly spacious. I had no trouble settling in because it was so comfortable despite the awe striking elegance. I was lucky enough to get a room with a stunning view of the beach front. I spent about ten minutes just standing by the window taking everything in.

Since the sea constantly beckoned to me, I felt like I had no choice but to indulge myself with a visit down to it. When I got to the beach, I couldn’t stop smiling. The sea was perfectly blue! There was even a pontoon that can swim dive off from. The loungers were nice enough, and the pool was fairly sized but admittedly a bit dated.
I also noticed that the hotel offers water sports to its customers for free! It eliminates the hassle of going to vendors out on the beach selling questionable tube rides and such.

All in all, I can say that my stay at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion Barbados travel hotel was very good. I totally recommend to everyone who intends to vacation in sunny Barbados!

Of Scams and Free Insurance

Free insurance quotes are found in the internet. But when I myself looked for a free insurance quote site, I snagged into some problems. The problem was that there were so many sites in the net that purported to give me the same services. How was I supposed to choose among all these sites? I did not know who to trust.

My mistrust of the internet has deep roots. I am seventy years old. Most people my age are not well versed on computer technology. But of course, since I was the type of guy that always wanted to be in sync with the current times and the current trends I immediately set my self up against the task of being a completely computer literate person. One of the first things I learned how to use was my email. I was so excited at getting an email of my own. Then I got some emails from some people I didn’t know.

One of them was from a friend of mine who was asking me to give him some money because he was stuck out of town. The email said that my friend went to Germany. But now he needed some money because he got robbed. I immediately wired some money. Little did I know that this was a scam. It turns out that my friend’s email address was hacked. That was the lesson I got from the internet. It is full of scammers. This is why I am hesitant at signing up for any of these sites that get me a free insurance quote for my car insurance.

What I did was do a little bit more online research. Forums are a good place to find tips and referrals. That’s how I found a good site that offered legitimate free insurance quote services.

Weird Experience in a Barbados Travel Hotel

Last year’s spring break is probably one of the most awesome spring breaks in my life. Overflowing booze, beautiful people, great Barbados hotel travel. It was really a dream. The fact that something strange happened at the hotel made the trip even more memorable.

So what happened? Read on.

When you are at Barbados, it would be stupid not to drink all the alcohol your body can consume. It is even more stupid not to dance the night away in one of the many beach parties organized by Barbados travel hotels. Since we are normal college students out to look for some fun under that hot sun of Barbados island, we partied like there’s no tomorrow and spent each day and night drinking whatever our bodies can take. It seemed like the life we have always wanted until we lost our friend, Sam. At first we thought that he was just out partying alone but he did not show up at the day of our departure from the island. Naturally, we did everything to locate the person we happened to lose.

We reported the incident to the local police department of the island. With no phone, not even a pager with him, Sam was totally unreachable. We went to every bar to look for him, but no Sam was in sight. The incident drained all the fun we had during our stay at Barbados. It was so stressful.

After half a day of searching for missing Sam, he finally turned up. Of course, we were happy that he’s still alive and right there standing incredulously in front of us. Turned out he hooked up with this rich Barbados beauty he met at the party and stayed at her place which is 2-hour drive away from our Barbados travel hotel. We were about to clobber him with whatever furniture we could get our hands on because of the mess he left for us to clean. Good thing, he introduced us to the girl he was with in those two frigging days he was missing. Man, the girl looked like Rihanna without the mullet hair and the crazy outfit, so in a way, we understood why he would sacrifice friendship over some girl he met at the party.
